This rare and beautiful timber framed house, with its lovely cottage garden, orchards and idyllic settings by the Cuckmere River, is one of the most significant looked after by the National Trust. It was the first property purchased by the newly formed charity 1896. Here are a piece of history taking us 650 years back in time.
