A national park with great nature beauty and nice trails. From the crater lake Towada-ko a small river Oirase-gawa flows throu the decidious forest in a nice valley. A trail takes you along the river between the lake and Oirase Youth hostal, a walk for two hours. This area can be recommended in the autumn when the colours shift.
