Matsushima is a nice arquepelago on the eastcost north of Sendai with over 250 islands coverd with pines. This is considered as one of Japan´s Nihon Sankei-Three great sights-and attracts a lot of turists. From the station in Matsushima Kaigan it is a nice walk along the shore to the bridge over to Fukuura-jima.
