De skogskl\u00e4dda bergen n\u00e5r toppar p\u00e5 \u00f6ver 1000 meter och har ett varierat kulturlandskap med m\u00e5nga sl\u00e5tter\u00e4ngar, betesmarker och byar med \u00e4ldre timmerarkitektur. Bergen \u00e4r kalkrika och floran och faunan artrik med kalkgynnade arter som orkid\u00e9er. I nationalparken ligger byn Vlkolinec som \u00e4r v\u00e4rldsarv med sina v\u00e4l bevarade timmerhus, m\u00e5lade i vackra f\u00e4rger. Byn ligger h\u00f6gt upp i bergen och var isolerad till relativt nyligen. Omgivande bergsomr\u00e5den med sl\u00e5tter\u00e4ngar och l\u00f6vskogar \u00e4r mycket tilltalande.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"
