De gula fl\u00e4ckarna p\u00e5 svart botten varnar f\u00f6r giftig hud och de gula f\u00e4ltens utbredning och f\u00f6rekomst varierar. Det kan \u00e4ven finnas inslag av r\u00f6da prickar. Som st\u00f6rst kan Eldsalamandern bli 20 cm l\u00e5ng och f\u00f6rekommer ute fr\u00e4mst nattetid och vid fuktig v\u00e4derlek.
