Nationalparken bildades 1991 och best\u00e5r av ett 30-tal \u00f6ar och kringliggande innanhav omfattande 2400 hektar. Djur\u00f6 har haft bofast bebyggelse och det finns idag tre hus, tv\u00e5 f\u00f6r uthyrning, och den gamla jaktvillan. Fyren st\u00e5r p\u00e5 nordv\u00e4stra stranden intill fyrvaktarbostaden. \u00d6n domineras av tallskog med inslag av hagmarker med bj\u00f6rk, ek och lind p\u00e5 den centrala delen. H\u00e4r betar dovhjortar som en rest av jaktparken som skapades kring sekelskiftet 1900. D\u00e5 fanns \u00e4ven mufflon och fasaner men dessa har f\u00f6rsvunnit. Den vackra r\u00f6da graniten lyser p\u00e5 strandklipporna och h\u00e4r ses flera str\u00e5k med m\u00f6rkare bergarter. B\u00e5tf\u00f6rbindelse saknas men det finns m\u00f6jlighet att boka b\u00e5ttaxi f\u00f6r att ta sig ut till \u00f6n. N\u00e5gon g\u00e5ng per \u00e5r ordnar naturum V\u00e4nersk\u00e4rg\u00e5rden b\u00e5tf\u00e4rd till \u00f6arna.<\/p>\n<p><a
