Skogen best\u00e5r av flera olika skogstyper men best\u00e5r fr\u00e4mst av blandskog d\u00e4r ek, lind och avenbok dominerar p\u00e5 rikare marker, al och bj\u00f6rk p\u00e5 fuktigare samt tall och gran i de norra mer magra delarna. Halva skogen ligger i Vitryssland och halva i Poeln.
