Parken bildades redan p\u00e5 1950-talet och omfattar ett omv\u00e4xlande kustlandskap med fyra markanta uddar, skog, myrmarker och odlingsmarker i ett stort omr\u00e5de. H\u00e4r finns fyra \u00e4ldre gods d\u00e4r Palmse \u00e4r det mest k\u00e4nda och restaurerat till ursprungligt utseende. H\u00e4r finns det centrala informationscentret med utst\u00e4llning, shop och kunnig personal. Centret \u00e4r \u00f6ppet 10-17 st\u00f6rre delen av \u00e5ret. Skogarna har utvecklats relativt fritt de senaste 70 \u00e5ren och h\u00e4r finns idag bj\u00f6rn, varg och lo i skogarna. L\u00e4ngs kusten och i v\u00e5tmarkerna \u00e4r f\u00e5gellivet rikt och h\u00e4r passerar m\u00e5nga f\u00e5glar p\u00e5 str\u00e4cken \u00f6ver Finska viken. Den \u00e4ldre bebyggelsen l\u00e4ngs kusten \u00e4r v\u00e4lbevarad och ett antal timrade fiskebodar har restaurerats. Sommartid \u00e4r service och boendem\u00f6jligheter goda medan det \u00e4r s\u00e4mre \u00f6vriga tider p\u00e5 \u00e5ret. Jag valde att bo p\u00e5 B&amp;B Mother in Law intill Palmse vilket var mycket trevligt. Vandringar gjorde jag fr\u00e4mst i den nord\u00f6stra delen av parken kring Altja med tre vandringsleder och vid K\u00e4smu med en led. Avslutningsvis bes\u00f6kte jag myrmarken vid Viru med vandringsled och utsiktstorn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"884\"
